Se ubica en el municipio de Matamoros, en el estado de <strong>Tamaulipas<\/strong>. De acuerdo al censo del a\u00f1o <strong>2020<\/strong> la localidad ten\u00eda un total de <strong>65 habitantes<\/strong> antes de la pandemia del <strong>COVID-19<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La playa llev\u00f3 este nombre desde <strong>1991<\/strong>, en recuerdo al puerto que existi\u00f3 entre <strong>1860<\/strong> y <strong>1910<\/strong> en este lugar. Anteriormente se le conoc\u00eda como <strong>Playa Lauro Villar<\/strong> y, curiosamente como <strong>Playa Washington<\/strong> inicialmente. Ya anteriormente se hab\u00edan reportado los cad\u00e1veres de varios animales m\u00e1s, algunos destazados y otros solamente los huesos.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Las videos y fotograf\u00edas fueron enviadas a las autoridades de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gob.mx\/profepa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PROFEPA<\/a> para que se averig\u00fcen las causas de este ecocidio e igual en las redes sociales.<\/p>\n<p>Otra noticia en esa misma playa, es que se registr\u00f3 gripe aviar lo que gener\u00f3 una alerta sanitaria en la regi\u00f3n fronteriza de Tamaulipas. Alrededor de siete d\u00edas tardar\u00e1 la revisi\u00f3n tras detectarse esa gripe, aunque la zona no se cerrar\u00e1 al turismo, asegur\u00f3 el alcalde de <a href=\"https:\/\/matamoros.gob.mx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matamoros<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threads.com\/@betogranadosmx\">Jos\u00e9 Alberto Granados<\/a>. Sin embargo, las autoridades recomendaron no tocar aves muertas y reportarlas de inmediato a los n\u00fameros oficiales de <strong>Salud<\/strong>, advirtiendo que cualquier contacto con aves contagiadas puede implicar riesgos para la salud.
